The museum is independent and is run entirely by volunteers. The running costs are covered by membership subscriptions, donations, and sales. The Museum was set up as a registered charity in 1998 and is governed by the Haddenham Museum Trust.
The trust also publishes The Haddenham Chronicles. These are booklets about the history of Haddenham written by local contributors with expert knowledge in different subjects. The museum also sells other books, and maps, cards and calendars.
Museum members can give guided walks around the village and talks to groups by arrangement.
A slide show is held each year and the museum has a stand at several events in the locality. It is also highlighted in an article on the haddenham.net website.
